Keene Arts – Invitation to take part in Small Works Pop-up Show of Ausable Watershed Art
Sunday, July 20, 1-4 pm
The pop-up show is in conjunction with the July exhibition presented by Keene Arts and Ausable Freshwater
Center: : “Follow the Water.” The exhibit features a large body of work by Anne Diggory along with an exhibit
focused on the Quarry Pool area with perspectives of place by Rachel Finn, Tim Fortune, Joy Muller-McCoola,
Kevin Raines, James Prosek, and Ausable Freshwater Center staff.
Exhibitors are encouraged to explore the maps of the watershed on the AFC website (AusableCenter.org) and on
Anne Diggory’s website (Diggory.com). The Quarry Pool fishing area can be found on route 86, 3.5 miles north
of Lake Placid, just north of the intersection with River Road. Follow the paths along the river from the Quarry
Pool pullover to the site of the former dam.

WHO Adirondack artists of all levels are invited to create and exhibit one recent work of an Ausable
watershed scene, anywhere in the watershed with water – streams, lakes, ponds - or focused on Quarry Pool.
FEE $5 donation to Ausable Freshwater Center
SIZE Small and midsize works, under 18 inches in height and width
MEDIA Paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media (no photography)
DISPLAY No frames needed, but attach wire in case we hang. Will be inside on tables or around the room, or
outside on your easel or table if weather permits
LABEL filled out at gallery with price or NFS and with notation of the general location in the watershed
SALES : portion of sales donated to AFC, 60% to artist. Work can be purchased and taken before end of show.
